IMPORTANT PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE: R.M. OF PADDOCKWOOD NO. 520

The R.M. of Paddockwood advises all motorists to avoid driving through water that is flowing over or standing on the road surface.

Until the water recedes we cannot fully assess the situation and repairs are not possible.

Significant infrastructure risks may exist that are not visible from the surface:

* Undermined Culverts: Water flow can erode the soil and materials supporting culverts and the roadbed.

* Structural Voids: Compromised infrastructure can create large voids underneath the road surface.

 * Road Surface Failure: These hidden voids may lead to a sudden collapse of the road under the weight of a vehicle.

The R.M. is identifying and marking these hazards as soon as we become aware of them; however, please exercise caution as there may be some that have been missed.

If you encounter water over the road, please seek an alternate route. To report specific locations of concern or localized flooding, please contact the R.M. Office or your division councillor.

Road bans are in effect as of Monday April 6, 2026.
